This is EXACTLY what I was looking for! Although it comes with Traktor 3 LE, you can also use it with Traktor 3 Pro as well as Torq and Virtual DJ. When using with Traktor 3 Pro, all you need to do is use the .tks midi configuration file from the LE version and all of the controls will be configured for you. Check out the Traktor site for more information on how to do that.
On a PC you have some more advanced options for the sound driver than on a Mac. I use this on both systems with Traktor 3 Pro and have not had any issues. If you are thinking of getting this, do it. You won’t regret it!

The BCD3000 is a good product if you are just starting out DJing. You don’t have to burn any CDs. I purchased this because I was going to be overseas for 3 months and didn’t want to go too long without DJing. It works well but the downside is that if you want to record your sets you have to spend an extra $120 to upgrade your software. As long as you have a use for Traktor then it’s not bad to spend that money but other than that it’s a waste.
The downside is it felt kind of cheap. The knobs didn’t seem like they worked too great, but it will get you by. If it’s your first set of DJing equipment then you wouldn’t notice though.

After my experience with the Behringer BCD2000, I figured us Mac users would have a chance to rejoice as Behringer introduced the new model which tailored especially for Mac users. Well, as you may have been psyched and done all of your research, you’ve probably found out how a Behringer BCD2000 or BCD3000 is supposed to perform using Traktor DJ Studio. If you’ve seen it in action on a PC, you’ll find that it’s not the same for Mac. You CAN’T configure the USB inputs for Traktor, so if you need to tweak some controls, you aren’t able to. Scratching was a big letdown too. You can’t scratch without bringing the track to a stop either – you’re better off spinning back the record with your mouse for a more authentic vinyl sound. Also, you can’t do an instant play from the cue point… you need to cue pause first and then play it again. I’m considering other USB controller options at this point, because this simply doesn’t cut it.

This product was shipped and received very fast. I did however noticed it was very cheaply made but did the job quickly and was much better than the nu-mark i had previously bought from best buy. I had to send one of these though back to amazon due to a malfunction on the left master out what went out in less than a week. Not impressed i did send this back and received a new one within a day in which this replacement never caused me problems. If your a beginning DJ its definitely a decent buy, however if your looking to do more than just basic things you might want to shell out for the bigger toys. All and all I have enjoyed what to do with this product and it has got me into wanting more intricate toys to do more experimentation. I gave this 4 stars not due to the so much quality as it is made of plastic, but more into how easy it was to learn and to master allowing to move to the next step.
Good:
very easy to learn can make mixes with ease
comes with traktor, although I would get the most recent version
very portable, I generally put this in my book bag or laptop case.
not to intimidating for the beginner DJ.
comes with built in internal sound-card unlike the Nu-Mark
can hook turn tables up to this, which of course would make things much smoother
can run various effects with ease
runs also with virtual dj though I find that software on the lower end of DJ software
Bad:
Very limited on what you can really do with scratching due to size of the spinners.
Feels very cheap and its plastic. (feels very cheaply made but does the trick better than the 200 dollar priced more Nu-Mark
First product lasted a week had to send for a new one but have had no problems with the new once since.
If you have windows 7 and you have a 64 bit os your just about out of luck. May or may not work with a 64 bit system. works with a 32 bit windows 7 though.
They do not have updated drivers for the 64 bit os on the website.
May be problematic setting it up for the first time. I suggest the website for the behringer to get the right drivers.
Traktor packed in does not work with windows 7 at recognizing the behringer. although it could have been an installation mistake.

Works extremely well with Traktor once you download the mapper (the default one is crap) and it works fine with VDJ. Some of the lights do not turn on all the time, but it really doesn’t matter. This budget friendly gem will have you mixing in no time!
