Identical to Virtual DJ only much more stable. The special effects are cool and so are some of the features like autoplay, beatmatching and sampling. I was up and running in FIVE MINUTES! The program is easy to navigate and operate. You don’t neessarily need an external controller, but if you do, get the Behringer BCD3000. By the way, I run a Dell Vostro 1.9 Ghz AMD Duo Core with Windows XP, 250GB hard drive & 2.7 gigs of RAM. Never had a problem (knock wood!) I also highly recommend using a high quality surge protector when plugging in your PC.
The reviewer who gave this software a 1-star rating is obviously incompetent and not an experienced DJ. YOU NEED 2 SOUNDCARDS! One soundcard allows you to preview (cue) tracks while the other soundcard acts as your master output. Buy the Soundblaster Xfi USB soundcard for $49 or better yet, a Logitech USB headphone adapter for $15.
Thanks to Numark Cue 5, I am now able to significantly reduce the amount of DJ equipment I bring to a gig. And when I play at places that already have a house sound system, all I need is my laptop!!!

This is a great looking program….ONE Huge fault….no tech support other than forums. I couldn’t get 2 stereo channels to come out clear on a nice duo core laptop. In other words…there is no way to preview the tracks!! Again…if your a home user…great…Pro’s…STAY AWAY

This product is good enough for ballroom djing. It has the flexibility of inserting requested songs, you can go on autopilot and dance all night long.
Compared to the more expensive softwares which has a more difficult learning curve. CUE 5.0 is pretty simple. If you have common sense your ok. It does have its cons. Scratching is not as good as I thought but I don’t need that in ballroom. You might have to have a lot of ram on your computer to work the scratch feature better. Support is not that exciting.
