I’m sorry that I cannot tell if this product is
the same as a Sony turntable of some 4 years ago.
That machine had power supply hum and the thing
transmitted a terrible roar into the reproduction of sound.
Sorry also that I bought it. Took it back.

Simply did not work! I wasted my time assempling the darned thing only to find out that it does not work …

After listening to 7 or 8 vinyls I fell back in love with my old albums – but then after laying down and having to get up every 4 tracks to flip the discs – I recalled a time when I could stack 4,5,6,7,8,9…albums and they would drop and keep on playing – then you flipped them all over to hear the B-sides. I hate getting up. I don’t have knobs on my TV (remember that UHF knob ugh!) to switch channels every 30 minutes, why would I want to get up right in the middle of a great series of albums?
I have to find a stackable unit. Otherwise this one plays music – but so would a sewing needle tied to a megaphone.

I gave this as a gift; the recipient hasn’t hooked it all up yet, so I’m guessing on these answers. He was delighted to receive the turntable, the price was great and shipping was terrific and fast, but the exact item? Can’t tell ya yet.

I was pleased to see my new Sony turntable in only 2 days after my order! I set it up and was playing my old records in just 15 minutes! Its sleek design compliments my entire stereo component system. You can’t beat it for the price!!
