Very good value for the product from Amazon. The headphone is too tight and caused my ears pain!

The sound is great, as expected. But why are the earcups so small and uncomfortable?

I’ve had a few sets of Sennheisers in the past; they were always the best investment I had ever made in electronics – full, rich bass, comfortable for hours – this pair is completely opposite to those.
I got a great deal on these as a refurb, so, for what I paid, they’re a good set, but as far as Sennheisers go, they’re not what I expected.
1) Fit: Okay, I’ve got a pretty big head – I wear an 7 and 3/8 baseball cap, which is about a large. I have these headphones open to the furthest that they are capable, and they still don’t cover the bottom of my ears. Maybe I have low hanging ears, but this wasn’t a problem on my last set of Senny’s at all. Being as tight as they are, I get a painful pinch in the tops of my ears after about an hour of use, at which point I take them off, try a different angle and suffer on. My son, 12 years old, uses them with no complaints – his head is smaller than mine for sure. The swivel headset is bit silly, but doesn’t slide around noticeably.
2) Sound: I am so disappointed! The last pair I had, I had them hooked up to a stereo so that I could play my video games at night with out disturbing people who were sleeping and I – on several occasions – had to take them off just to make sure that I hadn’t left my stereo on because the bass was so rich. These leave me wanting more fullness in the bass and I’ve tried these on the same stereo, as well as other electronic devices, all yielding the same poor bass. The rest of the range is crystal clear; standard Sennheiser purity of sound.
3) Weight: These are light as a feather and weight isn’t an issue with these at all like the last ones I had.

These headphones definitely have great quality sound and the cord is a decent length. Unfortunately, it’s impossible to wear them for more than 30 minutes because they are so painfully tight – and I have a small head. I guess the idea is that they stay in place when you swivel the right cup, since that’s the only way they are bearable. But unless DJing is ALL you use them for, it’s a waste of money.

The sound is great, but they are tight. I stretched them out on a couch arm overnight, It just reverted to the original discomfort. I dont have huge ears, they dont cover your ear you have to like stick them in and that brings even more discomfort. When i spend more for headphones i expect 2 things comfort and quality sound.
