  1. I PURCHACED THIS A YEAR AGO, AND I STILL ENJOY PLAYING WITH IT.

THE MICROPHONE FX S ARE A BIG PART OF WHY I PURCHACED IT.( automatic talkover for example)BPM COUNTER WORKS VERY WELL. I DON’T RECOMEND IT TO THE BEGINNING DJ OR SOUNDMAN.

  2. I needed to replace some old Radio Shack mixers as I wanted to be able to connect my 3 computers with sound sources from the web or CDs or various audio recordings I have made, Turntable, LD Player, DVD player, Tape player and audio system. Many ins and many outs. It works very well. The documentation is very clear. Key discoveries: It can have 4 stereo inputs in a mix plus a mic. Each of the 4 inputs can select between 1 of 2 inputs. Three of the four inputs are Phono but there is a switch which can make these line inputs. Very flexible. Since I am using this as a mixer I have not investigated the DJ elements but from what I can see and the construction of the unit I am sure they will work just fine.

  3. Enjoying the Behringer DJX700. I mainly got it for the microphone effects and the price! Great product for the bedroom dj.

  4. It’s fulfiled with features, not a regular mixer. Good finish, easy layout… If you want a analog mixer, this is very very very good and has a good price (paid %155)

  5. Pros: This product is good for its price, holding the saying “you get what you pay for”. Good documentation in the manuals so you can easily learn the functions of the mixer, and with 5 channels + a mic you can have all your equipment playing at once. The sliders move smoothly and it is easy to get precise control for the exact volume. Some good key effects and reliable kill switches give the beginner on a budget a little edge over the others.

Cons: If you are cueing something and the track that you have live is at a soft part, you can hear it over the live mix—basically this mixer does not cut off any channel completely EVEN with all three killswitches on—which is quite unfortunate as hearing a cue in the background of a soft vocal is not ideal. Also, the connections are standard analouge only, unlike the DJM Series mixers which have a digital input, resulting in better sound quality. The BPM and Effects button also have some issues, the BPM is not reliable and is usually off by at least one or two values–stick with your decks BPM counter if using this mixer. The effects button also sticks sometimes when you try to turn it off, making your mixing less precise.

With this mixer, you do “get what you pay for”. Its really a bargain for beginners or those on a budget, but if you are serious about good sound quality and top-notch effects, definitely go with the DJM-800 from Pioneer, it outclasses this mixer 10 fold.

Overall, a good purchase for the beginning/learning DJ.
